I recently spent about five days up in Northern California and had this amazing opportunity to work with a wonderful organization called Flashes of Hope.
“Flashes of Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating powerful, uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening diseases.”
This truly was an honor. The children I met on this day changed me. I am changed as a photographer, changed as an aunt, as a friend, as a person. These children and young adults are facing more in their young lives then I have ever faced and yet they came into the session with smiles on their faces and the biggest and warmest personalities. The day was about them!
I am humbled and proud to have been a part of something so special. Thank you so much to Jay Ganaden for allowing me to partake in such a wonderful cause and also a big thank you to Sheila Hizon for her awesome assistance!
