Her name is actually Skylar, but little brother Jake calls her Gar. It is really quite enduring. I found myself calling her that too. Last year it was “Lar,” now it’s “Gar.” It’s pretty cute. Skylar was a student in my class last year and I hadn’t seen her since she started kindergarten at her new school, so at first she was a bit shy. All that changed when collecting sticks and throwing leaves in the air were more important than pictures. Skylar’s new outfit and shoes were a big topic of conversation and Jake’s “fast shoes” were broken in. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and these two were pleasantly adorable. Enjoy!
